Fantastic James Docky!

Hi all! I'm Atiqah.

Usually, after a hectic 45 minutes of challenging Maths activities, we would pester Mdm Nura to share something interesting with us. Sometimes she would read to us newspaper articles or share YouTube videos and funny jokes.

There is this rhyming book written by Quentin Blake titled "Fantastic Daisy Artichoke" which Mdm Nura read aloud to us. It was such an enjoyable read! Then Mdm Nura challenged my groupmates Zayma, Shashar, Yun Ru, Ain, Sorfina and I if we could write something like that. We got very excited and laughed ourself silly trying to think of rhyming words. We finished our own version of 'Fantastic James Docky' in just 15 minutes. Mdm Nura was very impressed. We then took turns to read aloud our own short rhyming story.

Fantastic James Docky

James Docky had a pet named Donkey.
Donkey behaved like a monkey.
'Monkey' loved to play hockey.
One day, James Docky lost his car key.
So,he could not drive to Clarke Quay.
He called for a cab using his walkie- talkie.
While waiting, he ate a box of strawberry flavoured Pocky.
After eating the whole box of Pocky, he turned funky.
He fell into the drain and turned into James Stinky.

Great job Atiqah and gang!
I am a fan of Quentin Blake who is well known for his unique illustrations. Think Roald Dahl books!
It is incredibly amazing how Blake managed to create such a rhyming phenomenon with this book.
Even Nyla loves it.
And you know what girls, I read to her your 'Fantastic James Docky' and she had a huge smile at the end of your hilarious story.
Nice work, indeed!
